Other Permits Reports

Overview

Citywide Permitting offers several Building Permit and Other Permit reports meeting a variety of reporting requirements.  Each report type includes parameters, filters and display settings to change if desired. All Citywide reports can also be exported to Excel as required. 

Report Description
Building Permits This report shows the list of all building permit applications as specified by the filters and/or report options selected.
Other Permits This report shows the list of all 'other' permit applications as specified by the filters and/or report options selected.
Permit Types This report shows the number of permit applications based on permit type as specified by the filters selected (ie. status or dates).
Stats Canada (applies to Building Permits only) This report shows all building permit applications with their detailed information required for submission to Stats Canada.
GL Codes

This report shows the total fees of all permit applications based on General Ledger (GL) Codes

(Note: GL codes must be configured in the database first. Click here to view how to set up GL codes

CMHC (applies to Building Permits only)

This report shows all building permit applications with information required for submission to CHMC (Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation). To enable additional columns of data details/work fields, click 'customize columns'.

Occupancy/Final (applies to Building Permits only) This report shows permit applications that have the 'grant occupancy' status enabled on the permit type. The report filter can be changed to include the Occupancy date range when the application status changed to allow 'grant occupancy'. 
Payments This report shows the payment details from all permit applications as specified by the filters selected (ie. group by permit type, status or payment date).
Development Charges (applies to Building Permits only)

This report shows the development charges for all permit applications grouped by service type and as specified by the filters selected (ie. service type, permit status or dates).

Refunds This report shows all permit applications and the amount of refundable fees as specified by the filters selected (ie. status or dates).
Inactivity (applies to Building Permits only) This report shows permit applications that have been inactive. When running this report, you can specify the date applications have been 'inactive since' to include in the report.

To Run a Permits Report

  1. Select the desired report you want to run.
  2. Select the various filters available on the report.
    • Report options: if desired, click the 'Modify Report' icon. Change the desired report options and/or date range as needed.
    • If applicable: change the 'Status' drop down to filter the list to only show applications in the specified 'status' - select one or multiple application status(es). To select multiple statuses, hold the Ctrl key down. 

Then click Run ReportCustomize Report Columns

After the report is generated, the columns can be customized as needed.

Click the 'Customize columns' icon at the top right of the grid and enable/disable the columns as needed (For further reference on customizing grid columns, click here).

To Export a Permits Report to Excel

  1. Once your report is generated, click the Export Data icon.
  2. The report will export to your computer's downloads folder. Open the file as needed.
